I'm sorry

I am sorry for being so impatient. I am ashamed of myself now. I just got the call I've been waiting for. It's all good! Of course. =D

January 9, 2008 - Our family expresses interest in adopting LuLu (Lu Feng Hong) from China.

January 10 - Sometime near the end of February - Research agencies. God leads us to adopt from Ethiopia.

March 4, 2008 - We mail application to Dove Adoptions, Intl'.

March 6, 2008 - Application received at Dove, process officially starts!!!

March 10, 2008 - First Homestudy meeting.

March 18, 2008 - Filed I600A in Yakima, WA.

April 12, 2008 - Signed "official" contract with Dove - no turnin' back now!

April 17, 2008 - Dossier packet arrives in the mail today!!!

May 13, 2008 - First draft of the homestudy is ready for review!

May 27, 2008 - Final Home study arrives in the mail!

May 28, 2008 - Home study is mailed to USCIS

May 28, 2008 - Dossier complete except for I171H (we'll be waiting a few months??)

June 27, 2008 - Fingerprinting in Portland, Oregon

July 23, 2008 - I171H arrived in the mail! Yippeee

August 11, 2008 - Mailed Dossier to Dove

August 20, 2008 - Some papers go to Washington DC to be signed by Condoleezza Rice

August 31, 2008 - Dossier reaches Addis Ababa, Ethiopia! Waiting to be matched with our two little ones!

October 14, 2008 - Referral for baby girl Kalkidan Mekonen, age 7 months and infant boy, Abinet, age 10 weeks!!!!!

October 17, 2008 - Accepted referrals!

December 29, 2008 - WE PASSED COURT!!!

January 26 - February 7, 2009 - We will travel to Addis Ababa to pick up our precious babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

February 7, 2009 - We arrive home with Ruby Kalkidan and Roman Abinet forever in our arms! We officially begin our new lives together ~ A family of six!
